Seriously, Dude...Another Cover???

Ok, so I have my (4) covers for my upcoming original music CD, but I want to add another. The trick is to find a cover that I not only like, but that my Gene Simmons-esque vocals (according to Esge) are well suited too. My current 4 covers of the apocalypse are:

1. Ace Of Spades
2. Perfect Strangers
3. Watchtower
4. Road To Hell

So, I have been considering a stripped down version of Stairway To Heaven, which I already have the basic music tracks for. The other two that come to mind are hair Of The Dog and possibly Mississippi Queen.

Thoughts???

Stay away from Stairway to Heaven! No one has ever covered it and got away with it in my opinion. Hair of The Dog is a cool choice.

But seriously, if you have Simmons-esque vocals why not a Kiss song? Cold Gin would kill.

Adrian made the 'Simmons-Esque' comment, so I am not sure....But I been thinking about that too....

Stairway certainly does seem to be protected by an invisible forcefield or something.... :-)

We do it live and people really dig it....

I'd suggest "Shout It Out Loud" by Kiss, but of course Gene and Paul share lead vocal duties in that song (which incidentally is one of the things I really dig about the song).

Ok, so we finished up Stairway. we created this as a rehearsal track for your singer. It's now complete with acoustic guitar, drums and bass ONLY, and recorded based on the original arrangement from the sheet music. My idea has always been for a stripped down version. Here's a vocal soundclip of me singing lead, just messing around - about 2:40 long:
