Since my wife recently confiscated my favorite mic (well, it did start as hers!), I was FORCED to get another, so I decided to give the Sennheiser e609 a try.

So here she is draped over my Peavey Triumph 120 leftover 1x12 cab paired with the Peavey ValveKing MH20. The Guitar was my Tom Anderson Bulldog with stacked P90s (models PH1 and PH3), neck-bridge-split neck/full middle in these clips.

I did apply some EQ through the mixer. I even used my mixer's 100hz button to brighten the mixer's EQ curve. Oh what fun!!

What do Soapbar-style pickups sound like? The longstanding benefit of a Soapbar-style pickup is that they produce a sound that lives between the weaker F-type, single coil and the fat focus of a humbucker, giving you a sound nothing else can quite achieve. PH 1-: For slightly more open, clarity in the neck position, the PH1- is it.
PH 1: Vintage level for neck application, wonderful, rich and full, but not too bloated—and with no hum.
PH 2: Vintage output bridge, full, rich, and gorgeously, hum-free.
PH 3: With tradition still intact, the PH3 gives more oomph per pick attack, for an elevated level of performance. It’s rippin’ made easy— and quiet.
 
Great mic - looks great and sounded really nice. When I say sounded really nice, I mean it sounded accurate and high quality, the music was all a bit lovey and cuddley for my liking until the last few seconds, but all the recent SG special and DC Union Jack excitement has got me a bit focused on the perkier punkier stuff (without reverb!). :D

Our sound man made me get one 3 years ago with a little boom stand. Great Mic for the money.
