Seen This On Another Guitar Forum

You're someone who's thinking though. The whole idea, especially according to the title, is for people to capture otherwise. You got to, and deciphered the disclaimer whereas most will not. The title is definitive and is what the author wants people to read and know in summary. Titles like that are meant to mold minds.

It says Metal guitarists like to compete in a sausage fest while having no interest in women. "Intersexual" suggests homosexuality as well.

Well, understand, you're dealing with two authors. There is the author of the study and the author of the article. The author of the study is the one who was involved with the actual study and describes it's findings. The author of the article is writing an article about the study for a publication (in this case, PsyPost) and may, or may not, introduce subjective twists. The author of the article may not have even created the headline. An editor may have done that.

I get your point, however. I learned a long time ago that headlines are meant to be bold, but the actual content of the article may not be quite as dramatic as the headline. A lot of times, the real gist of the article comes near the end...the part many people never get to.

I guess this thread reminds me of this, at least how it was back in the day (I'm old, but I guess this shows intersexual a bit):

I never looked at it.
As for gig action? No.
Only usually chicks partying or guitar dudes watching me play. I play for me anyways, it never bothered me.
