That is just the sickest tone that they both have. Distorted as hell but you still hear perfect string definition.

For what it's worth, I use the Mk 4 setting on the red channel about 90% of the time.

They are both stunning, absolutely World-class, but once again to my ears the Mark 5 takes the day. And it's about half the price!

youtube compression SQUASHES all the life out of these recordings---

you cant FEEL the chug on any of them ---- and my computer runs direct into a BOSE system! And still these videos do not give "chug" worthy of the amps

Mk 5 is 90 watts max. Can also run in 45W or 10W mode.

Mk 5 is $100 more than a Triple Rec ($2550 vs $2449)

The only thing I know about High Gain is I don't like it for my personal playing. I listen to plenty of High Gain artist, but if it's too much distortion I just don't enjoy it.

Depends on my mood---- I LIKES ME some METAL -- and I can distort and chug for hours----- but TBTH I am not as FAST or FLEET OF FINGER as I once was -- so its a lot of metal masturbation---

I play slight grit blues based or total CLEAN slow jazz type stuff more
