That’s debatable.
Even so, you’re removing a pretty minimal amount of wood to accommodate the extra width.

How did you confirm which block length to order?
This is basically how much wood would have to be removed. I am strongly inclined to get him to do it as I want the maximum choice in neck pickups.

The floyd spring rout is the same depth from front to back so the recesses to accommodate the long pickup legs would be fine at the front
Same here. I never buy a guitar to make money with it. Just like modding cars, you never get your money back when you upgrade the parts.All my guitars are great! I start with a stock guitar and keep modding it until it's perfect for me. Also means I can't really sell them without losing a heap of money...
