I bought the 2i2 3rd gen and I'm having a good deal of trouble getting it to communicate with REAPER. I went to the Reaper forum and I'm still waiting for authentication to post there. With so many knowledgeable people here, lets see if my TTR brethren can solve this one.
Here is the deal.
I'm running Windows 10.
The latest version of REAPER.
and of course the 2i2.
I downloaded the latest driver from Focusrite, installed it and went by the book (the focusrite site) as far as install goes.
Went into Reaper to tell it to use the Scarlett and the device is not found in the ASIO drop down list.
I searched a bunch of resources on the internet and there are a bunch of delete and reinstall suggestions. I deleted and reinstalled Focusrite (which is the sofware), and Reaper. Still no joy, did not solve the problem. Reinstalled the driver and that didnt help.
Anything constructive would save my sanity at this point. Also, I have run out of colorful obscenities to spew over this issue.
As a side note, there are a ton of different issues with Focusrite 3rd gen, most of which do not pertain to me. Just makes me wonder about the integrity of the driver I installed
