Saw a band called Glacier Blue at The Tartan in Redlands, California on Saturday night past. They are a Motown Cover Band and they are brilliant in every respect.
They mesmerized me with their rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition," so much so, that it inspired me to cover it.
My feeling was to do a more 'rock' version with a greater sense of urgency.
My drummer and i knocked this out in about 30 minutes. We started with a simple click track set to 104bpm.
I played the bass tracks with a pick to give it more of an uncultured, live feel.
