Satin Goldtop Finish:

Right, if you really must do it...

Gold Top Gold
Guitar Reranch products is good stuff. An awesome use-to-be-local luthier swears by them.

This should do it, if you can live with gloss finish

Les Paul Gold Top Gold Nitrocellulose Guitar Paint / Lacquer 400ml
This looks very interesting. And, I cannot picture a Goldtop in satin... I've never seen it in a satin finish. A properly applied Goldtop finish really highlights a carve top and its curves. The gloss adds to the illusion... I think... :hmmm:

The tribute series is satin, including the goldtops. It looks good if you dig satin

My 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute Goldtop was satin....

You like?

Thanks, Ray. But you know as well as I do, that up close and personal, these things can look quite different in 3D. But, they do look nice in the pics.

I really liked the satin Goldtop look. It had fretboard issues that would have required a refret, so I didn't keep it.

Re-Ranch requires clear. I will have to explore some satin clear options.

I saw a Gibson Les Paul Studio recently at a coleagues's shop that they added painted on binding and it was a beautiful job.

Why not try a gold sparkle?

Looks pretty snazzy on a Gretsch Duo Jet.
