Our band had some issues and were on an extended break. The issues got sorted, we practiced, and needed a gig to see if we could still work together. It was a house party with about twenty people in the audience, no pressure. It was great. We got two more house party gigs booked because of it. The pay isn’t great but the atmosphere of such an intimate audience is a blast. I was dressed as Santa. Haven’t done that since before COVID. Had to play my Yamaha. I had a problem with the Ibanez at our last practice. I lost the neck pickup and the active components. It was a short in the control cavity. It’s fixed now but I didn’t want to take a chance on it crappinng out mid song so I went with the Yamaha. The Yamaha is a four string and the Ibanez is a five. This caused a couple of bloopers where my fingers went to the wrong string but no one noticed. This was my first live set with the Ampeg amp. It is a monster. All in all a fun night.
