Sad but true!!!!

Would you say living standards were better back then or now?
Probably not. We didn’t have much extra cash. When our eldest was born we.... and I emphasize the we..... discussed and decided mom was going to be a work at home mom till kids were in school. We didn’t want baby sitters/child care raising our kids. So we were a one earner family. It was tight, but we got thru it. And for the kids. The correct course of action.

Somehow Im keep thinking it was better back then I dont know why.
But people who lived it say otherwise, thanks for the info.

I want to say simpler

Now i want to go back to the sixties. Where life was simpler. It was great no cell phones, no computers, most people worked day jobs, stores were open 9-5 six days a week. Banks were open Mon-Fri from 9-5 and Sunday was a day of rest. As kids we played outside from sun up to sun down, Rode bikes , went swimming, played indoor and outdoor hockey , Baseball, was never in the house except to eat and sleep. I could go on and on. The good old day's indeed...
