People don't hate G&R, they hate Axl, for no reason. He got no respect at his shows and had to take it up the ass every night by the rude audiences that would throw s.h.i.t or do whatever to piss him off. Morrison wasn't as saint either but no one carries a hateful resent toward him ..if they ever did to begin with anyway.
The things the audience would do to Fk with Axle they would NEVER try with Ozzy, Dio, Halford, Bruce, or even anyone else for that matter. I believe I know why there is continuous resentment towards him and I think it's complete bull s.h.i.t.
For me, all I can say is that, personally, I hate them with or without Axl. And if I recall correctly he was a bit of an a$$hat in the early days attitude-wise, and constantly late, often very late, to shows, and the crowds reacted to it negatively. He earned a bad reputation and although he reformed himself over the years, the prima donna act followed him. Now that they are on the nostagia circuit for 50 and 60 somethings he seems to have found a bit of redemption.
