I've always loved AC/DC, so doing this song was a lot of fun...Again, the challenge was making it sound decent with only one rhythm guitar - a true example of a performance that a 3 or 4 piece could easily reproduce live.

My 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute was used for all tracks. The volume reduction in the beginning of the track was accomplished by rolling the bridge volume back to about 5 and rolling up the volume with a volume pedal, then rolling the pickup volume up and trimming back the volume for the rhythm parts - again, this is easily replicated live with just one guitarist.

I laid the basic rhythm track in a single take and panned it 20% in stereo and left all the mistakes in it. I then added a ghost reverb track panned 80% which could be done live with a slap-back delay and heavy reverb. I pulled the rhythm guitar way back behind the solo, dropping it a full 6db. It's still there for the demo, but this would be missing live of course.

The solo was laid down in one take also. It's a improvisation loosely based on Angus' original, but not copping it 100%. It's also panned left and right stereo with delay added.

I think Angus would dig it... :)

Rock N Roll Ain't Noise Pollution - AC/DC Cover/Demo

This bare-bones track really demonstrates the musical genius of Malcolm Young. hard to compete with dual guitars as a solo guitarist!!!

Really like the grooviness and smoothness of playing. The beat is just spot on. Very nice work!

Thanks, S5...there's a few timing errors here and there, but I left everything in to get the feel of doing it live. That way, when the demo is pitched it's something we can can really do live with one guitarist.

I can send MP3's of any of the songs we'eve recorded with out any guitar on them for jamming and practice. PM me if you are interested... :-)

This version just kicks total ass...Listen to the genius of Malcolm Young in how he and Angus interweave their guitar parts:

I'm not 100% happy with the guitar timing and tone just yet. i know there's a lot of room for improvement. I want to get the singer's vocals on it and then re-track the guitar.
