That actually looks good the way it is! I bet it even looks better in person. Nice outdoor shot.:) It matches the theme of the guitar since the sides and back are black. Give it a few days and it will grow on you.;)

^^^^^^ This is the color gold I wanted....but, I needed enamel. Stewie-Mac only had lacquer.

I beg to differ, that's the Best looking Les Paul I have laid my eyes on!! THAT IS TOTAL SWEETNESS!!!!!!!!

Oh, Man..I am happy to hear that.... :-)

the original satin black didn't bother me, but it was the horrible quality of the paint from the factory that bothered me. If you look at this guitar up close, it looks like it was done by a custom paint shop. It does not look like a spray can, but the original black lacquer looked awful.
