I would like to express my deep sadness to report of the death of one of the finest human beings to have walked this planet.

Today July 28, 2020 the world is a better place because of this angel and his saint of a mom. RIP to my Hero and unbelievably selfless, sweet, joyous and amazing young man. Mo Gaba. Baltimore and the world has lost a true light and ambassador for all things good in life.

Today, my little buddy, who shortly after birth was diagnosed with cancer and it cost him his eyes and all of his 14 years a battle against this awful killer. Mo is our Legend, our boy with the unforgettable laugh, our Son who despite his cancer, he always thought of everyone else before himself. His life was short, but his impact will live forever. As my fiancee and I have seen some of his adventures and his humble life, we both feel he was an Angel sent to earth to teach us love. His mom is nothing short of a saint. A single mom who raised her sick boy every day for 14 years. Taught him sports, piano, confidence, and surely his compassion and sensitivity to the needs of others came from his dear mom.

My Hero MO was given an opportunity of a lifetime even adults would be nervous to undertake, yet he broadcast like a seasoned Pro.

Just check out his podcast that lasted over 3 hours and went into MO vertime.

As I said above, Mo was forever thinking of others first. In his radio show, he didn't disappoint. He started out like a HUGE HEARTED HUMAN beyond compare as he held a moment of silence for a friend and fellow patient who lost their battle recently as well. To me, that kid is beyond compare and thee will never be anyone to fill his shoes.

The best ones sadly for some reason, are the first ones to go.
The entire world of pro sports mourns, but Mo will be with them in spirit forever.
Not Forgotten.
I nominate Mo for the hall of Fallen Stars.
Take heart, Mo would not have wanted you to be sad.

Thank you Ampmad. Believe it or not, through all the possible emotions a 14 year old boy could have in a situation like he faced,
His primary concern was who was going to look after his mom when and if he died.

Mo was some kid. Oh and as my fiancee often says, She does not know how his mom does it. Somewhere in her past she also gave birth to twin girls. They passed away too, but as babies, I believe.

A 14 year old kid, with the heart of a Lion. These are the ones who inspire us to live better lives; to do more good.

Ampmad, he was that and so much more. How else can you explain a boy who was blind from almost birth, playing video games? How can he learn and understand football, baseball, basketball? AND HOW can a boy beginning at from about age 8, call in to radio stations and befriend the radio personalities, capture the heart of whole Cities or States, reflect courage and sense of humor and hope even when subjected to endless tests and treatments and surely agony of the side effects of the treatments? He was a Natural even for an 8 year old. I often said this, " what a kid!!!"

I had no idea that this incredible human being, Mo Gaba, existed. Thanks for enlightening me about sweet Mo. R.I.P. Mr. Mo Gaba
Thank you Chris. Our MO sure was a miracle. His poor mom surely has to be a mess about now. My fiancee even told me a story about his mom that I was unaware of. Mo is actually her 3rd child to die. She had had twin girls who we, not sure, but we think they died as preemies. What a poor dear mom. She sure raised Mo to be as fine a MAN for his 14 years as anyone could ever meet. He even had a prom date lined up in advance for his high school prom. Breaks my heart he never made it. That girl must have a heart of gold too.

Thank you everyone, Mitch, Adrian, Robert, BFG, Fretless and all who stumble across my tribute.

Mo, was truly one of a kind. "KIND" is the perfect word for how sweet a kid that boy was.
I will always remember how he blew my mind, and made me laugh. Especially remembering the first time I ever texted him one fine Saturday back in late May or June. I was praising him and passing on commendations and he types to me, " stop, you are making me blush!" hehe
