RIP Tina Turner

While I was not a card carrying fan of Tina…… I deeply respected the lady. She had a way rougher life….. especially early on…. than any one person should have to endure. And in later years, as the stories came out…. We learned Ike was a huge turd.

So this lady has earned and deserves all the accolades people are giving her these past couple days.

Sad, very sad. Tina was huge here in Oz.
Around the time she was here for the Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome filming, she also became the "face of football" (rugby league), with "simply the best" being the theme song. She became a big fan of our footy & was quite impressed with the big hits players endure with no protective gear other than a mouthguard. With the first of 3 "state of origin" matches coming up this Wednesday, I'm imagining they'll feature a big tribute to her.
