RIP Robert Herndon

Long ago, I was wishing he hadn't messed up in his scale length, bridge placement on his SG build. It frustrated Robert to have messed up and he almost just gave up on finishing. I wished I coulda finished it for him.
That’s the guitar and pieces I have here. He wanted me to fix and finish it. I will be honored to complete that project. It will need some kind of name on the headstock.

Sooo... I've spent the last couple of hours attempting to copy every YouTube and every Sound Cloud file of Rob's that I could find. Robert was one of the original handful of members that started this forum on day one. Robert introduced me to his friend kevinpaul who joined the forum when it was two days old. Both Kevin and Rob were very talented, good hearted and a bit eccentric in their own individual ways. Although Robert lived here on the west coast and Kevin was on the east coast, they would work on projects together as professional studio musicians. We lost Kevin in October 2018. I know that Kevin passing hurt Robert deeply with the loss of fellow musician and more so as a friend.

I truly believe that our souls will continue eternally, long after the flesh falls from our bones. If this is true, I know that Robert and Kevin are jamming away in heaven making beautiful music.

RIP to one of the good ones.
Very shortly, after joining here Robert was visiting my neck of the woods, he came out once a year.

Took him to one of our band practice/ Jams at our band owned studio.

We had a time! All my jamming buds welcomed him, definitely "one of the boys"

I was a member less than a month, but he treated me as a brother, we did likewise.

Eccentric? Yes. Loyal, and loving friend? To a fault.

The world just became a little less musical.

Condolences to his family and friends. There's a large hole in my circle.

RIP my brotha. we will carry on, but right now I'm going to grieve and celebrate the man.

I'll be changing my avatar when I can pull it together emotionally.

Love all my tone bros, quite a rough way to learn this lesson. Let your loved ones know they are loved, while they are around to hear it.

SUX true.
