RIP, Jimmy Buffet

I guess it'd be fair to say that Jimmy Buffet's music was indeed an acquired taste. At least to me. And although I never was really able to acquire that taste, I do recognize his impact in american rock and culture... So, may you always have the wind in your sails wherever you are, JB!
Totally agree. Beyond the 5 or 6 songs of his the entire world knows, Until a few years ago, I didn’t give him or his music more than a passing thought. Then…. A few years ago…. It just kinda started to grow on me.

Never been to a concert, and guess I won’t be now…. But from people I know that have. He was quite the entertainer. My son does not like country music. Won’t listen to it. But he’d go to a Garth Brooks concert simply because the guy knows how to engage and entertain a crowd. That was Jimmy.

My favorite.
Yeah. Thought it was a fun song the first 100 times I heard it on Margaritaville Radio. And I sing along with it every single time it’s on….. but I think I could probably go a year or two and not hear it again…… and not miss it. :pound-hand: :rolf:

Edit: Dang it @Mr. Potato Head. Now ya got me singin’ it.

About 1973 Lol. Quite the mix coming out of my basement, one min. Black Sabbath, the next EVH and follow it up with JB.
Saw this on FB today. Had me thinking about your post.

Thanks, as my wife likes to say, I don't like any particular genre, I just love authentic music! If that makes sense.

Well, that and completely nuts as well.
Yeah. My wife questions my sanity as well sometimes.

There’s not much music I won’t listen to. Not much for country. While I won’t turn it there or play it on purpose…... If someone else has it going. I’m good with that. Rap and hip hop I just can’t do.
