Sorry for your loss Robert. What we have done in your situation is have a music Memorial it helps give closure to family and friends.
 
I haven't known what to say either, but just wish you and your family strength to
get through the grief. Rick doesn't appear to be a guy who would want you to be
moping around. Grieve well for him, because he also seems like a hell of a life
companion.

For me, it's the time of life when we need to face this every day. Young soldiers have to do
it to, because they are in the line of fire. Law officers too, as you well know. But the rest of
us usually go blissfully down life's highway as if we were invincible. We owe our soldiers and
law officers thanks for giving us as much freedom from worry as we have.

Every day is a gift IMHO. Every good meal, every intimate moment, every good night's sleep...
every kind word, every belly laugh. We just take them as they come, and I'm grateful for every
one. Turn the page.
