Rick's Not Doing Well:

Spent a lot of time on the phone this morning and the news was not pleasant. Our dear friend Rick passed away late last night. Our steel player, faithful friend and constant band mate for 40 years has crossed over to the other side. I decided to post this video - from 1987 - that we shot during a break while the rest of the band (drums, keys and fiddle) were on a break. Rick - on acoustic guitar - comes first into view at 1:25. The man who shot this video is now gone too. Life is such a fragile and fleeting thing.

I shared each and every post herein - and the name or handle of each TTR member - with Rick's kin. They are verey grateful that each of you took a moment from your busy lives to offer warm wishes.

All the best to all of you and your families. May your lives be long, joyous and filled with unexpected prosperity and happiness...

One thing is for sure, nothing was left unsaid. Rick knew how we felt about him and he often expressed
his fondness for us. He was especially close to my two oldest Son's, who have a couple of his prized
vintage guitars.

I was playing in my Mom's band back in 1978 when we hired Rick onboard and he never left.

A faithful friend, always...

1989, My now 30 year old niece was in her first year of life, and I was only a few years out of college trying to figure out my road in life.
Bro Robert was only about 20 here if I am not mistaken. Just think, Robert must have known Rick 10+ years before the above video.
