I've played SO many vintage "Holy Grails" that were straight up....a disappointment.

I thought the fret boards on the Rickenbackers are walnut. That's what I heard.

My wife has a 620/12 from 1980 and my son has one from 2016 both have rosewood covered with clear.
BTW unlike Dave in the vid, wife and son love them Ricks!
