Restoration project- 1991 Gibson Flying V

How’s it coming along Ray? I’ve got to do some work on my V...I could put up a wiring gut shot if you’re still in need...
Thanks. It is almost back together. I have 5 strings on and I am waiting for a replacement tuner.

All 3 of the above diagrams jump the hot legs from the tone to the output jack tip. I think this is the cause of the bleed. I am curious to see your V guts, but no rush as I will not re-wire it since it materially conforms with all 3 diagrams.

The neck is rather muddy, but the bridge is nice. I filed the nut and adjusted the bridge today. Since I sit and play, it is constantly trying to escape my knee! Vs are a special breed!

I just finished my repairs on mine..someone stepped on my cable...popped the wires from the output jack...trying a new cap value while I’m at it...
I think this one shows most everything...

Now that is different. Very interesting. Did you wire that? If so, where did you get that ifea?
It’s a vvt 50s style wiring...I didn’t use this diagram, but one similar to the one here...

I probably found one in the giant wiring thread at MLP back then...

edit: @RVA I see now that the above diagrams both have elements of my wiring set up. The volume controls are wired as in the “standard” diagram, and the tone as in the “50s” diagram...my ground bus is slightly different, but has the same effect, too.
I haven’t had any coffee yet...still brewing....:coffee::)
