Resolutions

I normally don't make any ... unless I'm reasonably sure I'll stick to them.
This year I resolve to complete the 356 day challenge. That is, every day for 365 within the year some guitar playing / practice will take place. Not going to make it too hard for myself, the minimum when pushed for time will be 15 min. Hey it takes that long to do my warm up exercises.
Day one completed :-)

I’m not one for new year’s resolutions, really, but this year I have one: I will not buy any new guitar realted gear without selling some of the stuff I already have. (That probably means I’ll be selling a lot this year, tough.)

I have only made 1 resolution that I have kept, and I made that resolution over 25 years ago.

My resolution was to never make any more new year resolutions.

Looks like I'm the only one with a resolution, what a sensible lot you are.
As said in post #1 " I normally don't make any", in 12 months I want to tell my teacher I've acted out his suggestion.

Regarding truisms or inspiring quoted, I have my own and have done my best to live by it for some years now ...
"Happiness is a choice, I choose to be happy".

Last year I resolved to perform solo at some open mics and to write a full set of original songs. I had never performed solo. I had never sang in public. I had never written a song. I performed solo at a half dozen open mics. I even did a few of my original songs. I haven't written a full set of songs yet though. So far I have four solid songs, a couple almost finished, and a couple in the idea stage. Even though I didn't fulfill my resolution I am satisfied with the attempt. This year I resolve to continue along this path but with no specific goal in mind other than to have fun doing it.
