All I got new gearwise was completing this franketele earlier in the year.

I guess I did hold back the leopard pad strap too, as well as two other straps from the shop this year.

How much GAS did you guys satisfy this year? And is there more to come?

I built out my fuzzboard from the GOT game…so…a bunch of fuzz pedals, a mid sized wah, a Phase 95 pedal(which has been the only true “fail” of this exercise…it develops an annoying hum after it warms up, wether it is engaged or bypassed), a Boonar(Echorec pedal) an additional pedal power supply, an Eventide Micropitch Delay, a TC Sentry noise gate(surprisingly good with the fuzz pedals), a mini single loop switch pedal, an Abominable Unholy Grail (this is a weird one…delay, reverb, and an adjustable but non-switchable boost. While I’m kinda “meh” about it on the board, I really like it as the only pedal in front of an amp like my Valve Jr.). I also actually bought some patch cables for this board (instead of making my own) that actually worked out really well…super low profile…so far so good sound/build quality. I also finally sprang for some headphones that I’ve been wanting for years…ATH-M50. Finally broke down and grabbed a Sennheiser e-609 (Headache inspired). Oh, and I found a T-60 that matches my T-40….and managed to forget about it…now I’m gonna hafta revisit it.


I think that’s about it for 2023….I think…

Those ATH-M50s beautiful headphones. I have the ATH-M20. they work for me..

Yeah! I, kinda, lumped that in with the “a bunch of fuzz pedals” statement…that was uncool…there was the Gypsy Fuzz(thank you @SG John ) , the Fuzz War, and the Hail Satan Deluxe(thank you @Ghostman ). It was a quest…and I do thank those that lit the way!

I got my first good sounding Fuzz it was not cheap Dominion the one I have no longer made
and the Rocktavia only a few were made and the Wingman a double Klon was on back order two years.

My only gas was wanting a Lester Jr. So I bought a kit. several months ago.

I mess around with it when I feel like it and weather permits, but haven't gotten very far yet.
I have all the bits & pieces, but just can't seem to get motivated enough to finish a guitar I won't be able to play.

I did get a chance to carve a belly cut in the back and stain it.

And make a pickguard & mock things up.


And start finishing the body.



And that's where it sits right now. But it will be finished some day.
