There are worse song to get an earworm from. I won’t share them as you’d all have me banned from the forum. And now I have an earworm. Dangit.
It's a debate tactic to put you on your verbal / emotional back foot. So now you have to waste time to explain / defend yourself and thus are deflected from the main point. Best to be ignored and focus on the point. To my shame I felt compelled to swing at the flying turd.I agree that there's a bit of a trend to point to things as 'privilege'. I'm curious to what is implied or meant by the term in this context.
I heard it at the ripe old and wise age of nine and REALLY wanted to be ten feet tall... It took a few years for that goal to be achieved."White Rabbit' is also one of @iblive favorite songs.

Nuthin’ wrong with that.My privilege is my wife chose me forty years ago. In all other parallel universes I'm dead now. She picked the pill for me.

I’m a retired Engineering Director. A lot of my young engineers would ask how I made decisions. I’d say:I somehow managed to survive a stream of bad choices myself, but all of the bad stuff (including alcoholism and recovery) have given me a perspective that I never would have had if I hadn’t have followed the path of poor choices. And part of that perspective is that I will not be shamed into feeling guilty about having some kind of ‘privilege’ because of where I was born or how I was raised.
