You said you swapped the skinny cable for a new one.
Remember, Guitar cables are different than speaker cables.

I got Ernie Ball speaker cables…. Last night used it but didnt crap out….

Im going to take it to different tech and see if they can find the solution…

It looks like Surrey amps is closest to Brighton. I read good things about them. Might be worth a call to that place.

I need your help!!!


I took my recto at rehearsal today and I was disappointed…..

I feel like something is wrong with a amp but i might be wrong!

So here is my problem…

I have a foot switch and I cant get FX loop on when I hit fx button on…. Light is on but nothing happens…. Unless i select channel at the back but then its on all the time unless i switch pedal off itself…

How do i set it up so have the following…

Ch 1 clean

Ch 2 rhythm
Ch 3 lead with delay in fx loop

When I hit solo button nothing happens…..

When i back off front loop it loses drive…

At the back it has so many knobs its more complicated than woman…

Please help me otherwise i’ll sell this damn thing….

I sold my line 6 hx stomp because i could not make it work…

Ill send some pics of front and back if needed….

Both knob at the back are assigned to footswitch…

Fx vol is loud once its off main sound its quite ….

I just want to plug and play and that damn thing to chug…

Am I doing something wrong?

there is actually a problem with the amp control system.
And it's a pretty complicated system, you should have a mesa boogie service center test the efx control components.
The nature of this system makes it difficult to self-service.

This was my understanding about Mesa's too. Complicated and specialized.

From reading comments from 67plexi and Ampmadscientist and others over the years about Mesa's, they are also known to have multiple layers, boards on top of one another. Lots of wires, and often much to disassemble in order to access and replace defective parts.

Limited shared specs or available schematics too if I remember right. Makes repairs a bit tricky too,

I think ill end up going to Guilford thats the closest mesa repairs here….

Fx loop works but not the way i want.
