I know. I downvoted him for his initial trouble making and insulting comment towards me. ...the one that went unscaved.
To think that I never even did anything to the guy. Glad we're at least allowed to stick up for ourselves for wrong doings from other members against us here.
Pretty rude and uncalled for from Chili given the nature of this being a rather "playful" forum board. I'm sure he'll be tired this morning having had to bare a "Tucks" post in one of our threads ...then having to think about it all night.

I didn’t have an opinion on any of the humor. Positive or negative. I saw it. I got it. It’s a classic trope. It’s not exactly “high brow”, and as you pointed out…one’s mind might need to be “in the gutter” to appreciate it. If there is a post that a member finds to be a “concern”, there is a “report” button. If a member complains to staff, we’ll address it.
Bullying? If you’re going to insult and name call other members here, someone might say something to you about it. If that’s what you mean, well…I don’t think I’m “bullying” when I comment on this behavior.

Apologies, if my message was ill received. It was not my intention, I was and am still confused. Hence my message of not seeing the connection of tucks, a mind in risque, lewd, crude, in the gutter frame of thinking, and how it pertains to Ramo's amp and fx loop issues.
Sapient, in my defense, I think that absolutely no one in the forum has ever had a comment from me that was aimed at them in a derogatory fashion. I see 0 reason that I would have directed one specifically at you either. It was not and never will be my approach of ever making any rude or insensitive comments to or about anyone else in the forum.
My message in question was simply stating my confusion on the reason/ logic behind the Tucks post. Nothing personal.

Ive got the amp back but I still think its not 100% ….. its working but it still has that “pop” sound when I switch channels…. I think needs new tubes…
Im going to change tubes and see how it goes…

I never needed mine much past noon. To be honest, I didn’t use the feature that often once I got my pedal board set up. I chose to use a pedal instead of the solo function most of the time, and all I ever had in the loop were delay and chorus. I rarely used the chorus, and I would kill the pedals more often than killing the loop…but there were still a couple of tunes that I would kill the whole loop.

This is what Im aiming to set up….
1 clean ch
2 orange as main rhythm boosted with mxr GT-OD
3 lead with delay in the fx loop.
I want to control all this with foot switch…..
I like ch 3 the beat but I cant get fx loop activated on Ch 3 once I hit fx button on foot switch.
i also discovered 2 power tubes are bit different form the rest… some Russian made stuff…
Im going to swap them all with mesa branded ones and should sound much better.
I never got that into it with the 3 channels. I generally ran a little clean(channel 1…sometimes “pushed”), and pure filth, most of the time, on channel 3. I’d boost with a Red Llama for a lead push(if needed). I would occasionally run channel 2 with a slightly milder level of filth.
Probably best to get a matched set of power tubes in there asap. You might want to look into the last preamp tube before the power section(the PI tube “V5” iirc)…maybe find a balanced 12ax7, if possible, for that spot.

Ramo, make sure that when you do switch tubes that you bias them, You don't want the amp running too hot or too cold tube wise.
Edit as per don's informing me that with Mesa there is no biasing.
Whenever you change tubes in amps other than MESAS that require BIASING, Laney, Marshall, VOX, PEAVEY, etc, make sure to bias when doing Tube changes.

I knew that thatbastarddon would be there for you regarding the last preamp tube suggestion.
If I were you though, I would make sure that you keep your old tubes in order ( label them, and have each one tested to make sure if it is good or bad. This way you can also keep an eye out for any issues in the part of the circuit that associates with any bad tubes found.
There’s no bias adjust on the Mesas.

Mesa branded will likely be JJs right now but they do color code them to find 4 that are essentially matched. If they have a blue dot then get 4 with blue dots. Same with next change etc.
You mave have 2 that are mismatched right now.
