The other day I spent a considerable amount of time dialing in some tones on my JKD amp. I had a killer "Tool" sound going that I was super stoked on. I asked T-Rex how to maybe get some extra "oomph" out of the amp and he sent me some tips. So the intention was to do the mods and then load up my settings from the "Tool" session and listen to the differences.

I recorded the session in Reaper with my Two-Notes Wall of Sound IR plugins a few days ago. Today I fired it up and nothing would work. No sound, nada. So I opened up the plug in and it gives the a "Sign In" page. When you do, it says, "sorry, the servers cannot be reached." Last time this happened, it turned out that there's a new version I had to download. I check out the website and, yeah, new version out and all older versions are deactivated. I update the plugin which only takes about 30 seconds and fire things up again.

I open the plugin and it asks for the sign-in. Enter my credentials and it loads up the default settings. All my tweaks to the cabinet, mic settings, everything are gone. So, now I have to un-Mod the amp, start all over and hope the dirty rat ****s don't update the app again. Which also means that all my previous recordings on everything else is back to square one.
 
That sucks man, I get pissed when my phone updates , I now have to enter a passcode every time I pick it up… but I only record with my phone, so I don’t have your problem, but I would still be pissed to no end..

Yup. Save, save, and save again.

I learned this lesson years ago, not just with guitar software but with other programs, as well.

(I learned this the hard way, by the way!)

You might wanna go one step further and backup your presets. I backup all my Bias FX 2 presets to Drop Box, as well.
