Reasonably priced

You guys are all to kind

Will say that what I've heard this recording through doesnt sound to bad.
Sitting here listening through phone and it sounds alright now I'll have to try it in a car.

Really you guys should come up with lyrics maybe the tracks could be exported to have vocal track added.

Actually, this morning on my way to get a pack of cigs, I gave it a listen in my truck. Immediately I started thinking of Dave Mustaine and 'deth's song "Trust"...I feel like a vocal melody maybe somewhat similar to that song may be in order here.

Or maybe it needs something a little more David Lee Roth style lol!

Also, when recorded with mics/interface, yadda yadda, there is a distinct element lacking here. We couldn't tell so well with the shitty phone recordings, but there is definitely no bass guitar present in this last recording.

I guess we need to continue our search for a compatible bass player. Drummer, too, for that matter. A quality vocalist wouldn't hurt, either...

Sounds like you’ve picked up some depth with the addition of the third mic. Good stuff!

Any particular vocal style? Subject matter? Lyrics?...ya got any lyrics?
It did add more depth/dimension to the recording. It was very noticeable with 2 and muting a track very happy with how the third mic worked out

On the other hand, when I play it through my Bose, it sounds pretty good.

Of course, "good" being relative....

It sounds pretty good compared to anything we recorded with a phone, anyway.

So let's say I've written some mediocre lyrics and have a vocal melody in mind.....

Maybe perhaps I want to lay down a vocal track over our recording. I put the headphones on and I am hearing my voice echo....I assume this is a latency thing? I looked at a video on YT and it explains how to change the buffer size, but when I do, the pre-recorded track sounds all crackly and poppy....sounds like poop.

Anyone know what's going on here?

Recording in Reaper, correct?
How is your monitoring set up in Reaper? (Do you have the vocal track set to monitor in record, tape style?)
I’m heading for the manual for your interface now...

OK....relevant sections from the manual...there is a low latency monitor control software to run for this.
It is important that you do not attempt to track monitor through Reaper for the live track.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you're asking.....lol
ummm I want to listen to the track through the headphones and then "sing" into the mic, recording only the vocal track......so far so good but I am hearing my voice echoing back to me thru the headphones

In Reaper, on the track to be recorded, turn input monitoring off when recording your vocal track.

Hey, Don, you're a cool cat, that did the trick. I am eternally grateful.

Seriously though, a big sincere thank you!!!
No problem! Even if I don’t own the actual hardware involved, I usually know what to look for to resolve a fair amount of quandaries, and can usually find it fairly quickly. Also, I’ve done my share of research/learning about a few families of interfaces/recording devices.

Well, your advice has been welcome, and most appreciated.
