Any one hear about the old lady that lived in a shoe? So many kids she left them. I got the shoe and the kids. I need a forwarding address for her mail and these little maniacs.

IMG_8799.JPG IMG_8838.JPG IMG_8885.JPG Did you ever stop and collect your thoughts. Then think what the hell would the Smother Brothers say? Would Moe poke these JO,s in the eyes? Do you think Harpo Marxs would honk a horn in their face? I don't know but I am going to ponder that crap all night. I need something to that my mind off this shity job.

I dig the rant, Adrian. IMHO: This lady bought her moment of "fame," making sure that the media discovered her exorbitant renovation project, and the subsequent article and attention meant more to her than the finished "mini-home" project.

Here's Goldmember's rant: I hate commercials. On the surface, they have one simple purpose - to separate people from their money. However, I believe that they follow an agenda that belittles masculinity, insults men's intelligence, and trivializes their role in family and society. Take an hour of television time, and count the number of commercials that portray men a bumbling idiots, while their wives or girlfriends watch, shaking their heads in disgust. Each time, the women take charge and remedy the problem with the advertised product, as the pathetic men are saved from their incompetance. What's worse is that this agenda is not specifically followed during programming intended for the 18-49 year old female target audience; I see it during prime time family hour, children's shows, and programming with a predominantly male audience, such as sports.

Spot on with both points/rants! I call it the pussification of America! Their is an agenda right now to take the masculinity away from men. They are pushing for classes in elementary school to demonize masculinity in men. You cannot make this stuff up. So basically now a days if you flirt with a women you are harassing them. So how are we suppose to relay we might be interested in you there lady? Then again I see the way people raise their kids anymore and it's like what is going on here. If I would have thrown a tantrum like 1/2 of them do now I would be beat to a pulp in front of everyone. Now if you look at your kid the wrong way you can be locked up. I just watched a news report not long ago that parents are starting to have to take their kids to court to evict them from their house! The kid was 28 years old & didn't work and basically mooched off his parents. And the guy was acting like he was the victim and CNN was siding with him while Fox was actually asking him why he couldn't support himself and move out like and adult?

The above post IMHO is very close to crossing the line regarding forum rules on political comment.
I can read into it a positive vibe about people taking responsibility.
I can also read a negative vibe (or opinion) as to one political leaning being all foolish and the other side knowing all.

I am familiar with those stories and the trend.
These are observations of todays USA in contrast to what most of us over 40 experienced.
The decline of the traditional family unit is a very real and hugely destructive trend, as evidenced in communities with high incidence.

Masculinity is now considered "toxic" by some voices pushing a very specific political agenda.

I'll not bring my politics into it; again just observations.

Oh, and I love Wilford Brimley, and oatmeal.
Eat it every day with a bit of whatever whole grain cereal is on hand; today it was raisin bran.
