For sure. Average bale weight was usually right around 125 lbs, but sometimes we'd load 150 lb-ers and sometimes they might be lighter, 95 to 100 lbs. All depends on how they were baled and what kind of hay it is.

But it's like anything else is on the farm. Hard work, long hours, yet there's a sort of freedom that you simply cannot find at other jobs. It's not a 9 to 5 occupation. It's a lifestyle, and it's more accurate to call it a 5 to 9 job. I don't know too many fatassed farmers. Well, not the ones that do a lot of the labor themselves, anyway. A lot of the bigger operations have a lot of people helping out, and a lot of the time, the boss ain't one of them lol
 
I learned of this band Acrassicauda by watching a documentary years ago by VICE.

Most of the time I regard this site (Vice) as complete garbage, but this was interesting as fukk to me.

I don't know how to link you'll to it but it's called Heavy Metal in Baghdad and I think you guys should watch it if you can

Ive seen that. Was really crazy how they had to basically exist under the radar due to strict rules in Iraq, from having to praise Saddam in songs and not headbang. But they made it thru and ultimately escaped, now getting some recognition
