For sure. Average bale weight was usually right around 125 lbs, but sometimes we'd load 150 lb-ers and sometimes they might be lighter, 95 to 100 lbs. All depends on how they were baled and what kind of hay it is.yeah you dont need gym membership if you have that job![]()
But it's like anything else is on the farm. Hard work, long hours, yet there's a sort of freedom that you simply cannot find at other jobs. It's not a 9 to 5 occupation. It's a lifestyle, and it's more accurate to call it a 5 to 9 job. I don't know too many fatassed farmers. Well, not the ones that do a lot of the labor themselves, anyway. A lot of the bigger operations have a lot of people helping out, and a lot of the time, the boss ain't one of them lol
