R.I.P. Lou Ottens

Yeah, his invention probably did more for the music industry than most rockstars. He also worked on the CD before retiring.

In a fairly recent interview, when told that young artists started releasing their new records on cassette, he said something along the lines of: What on earth for? CD is much better.
 
R.I.P. ........ and thank you Lou ....... the "Empty" cassette case (with printed cover jacket) was a GOD SEND in high school -- you could hide weed.....smokes...ludes....razor blades....ALL SORTS of useful things to survive the blackboard jungle in a cassette case in your pocket ........and the teacher says "whats that!?!?" --- Oh the new DEF LEPPARD cassette.... ;) -- "Well put it away no cassette players here" ........ BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA rubes! ......er.....

uhm..... or so Ive "heard" ..........
