R.I.P. Bernie Marsden

Well that sucks. He was just in the news recently at the end of June, because he was going to auction his legendary 59 Les Paul aka The Beast but withdrew it at the last second. He must've almost knew something was going with his health.

Founding member of WhiteSnake and wrote a lot of the now classic riffs. But he was also involved with UFO pre-Michael Schenker. RIP, Bernie!

Thought the same thing. Was following his sale, no bids from me.
As, soon as he pulled the deal my antennae went up.

Truly an "artist" R.I.P.
 
I'm goin to post what I posted on another forum earlier today since I didn't a thread here at the time...

I have to be honest, I really didn't know who this guy was until I started seeing post about his passing today. What a talent, I had no idea, I guess because I wasn't much of a Whitesnake fan, but I've been listening to his stuff all afternoon and I'm feeling a little foolish right now.
