were you really worried you would get whacked by cops or a gang?I'm not going to U.S and A.. I was worried me getting whacked by police or a gang... now you added another reason not to come THE SNAKES!!!!

i guess its possible but unlikely.
i mean, if you go around commiting crimes then yeah you will probably have a run in with the cops.
as far as gangs....stay away from gangs. dont associate with them.
however, i guess sometimes they attack the random person, and this is why we carry firearms.
but, for the most part, it isn't like you probably see on tv, except for certain parts of large cities. in you live in a large city, you learn the good and bad parts and know where not to go and at what times.
no gang would dare set foot in the area where i live, because if they did, they would be ended, as everyone is armed, lol.

Not all cops are like that. A few bad ones ruin the reputation of all. The ones I know are kind,, respectful & compassionate. Sometimes U.S. media is inspired by politics & agendas. You would be safe. Bring your family to Indiana. We'll go sledding!

no cop has ever shot at me or anyone i know. there are a few bad ones but most are good people.
what you see is political BS from someone with an agenda.
three cops did beat me up pretty good when i was 19 but i broke two of their noses and deserved it. i was being rowdy that night, lol.
and i dont know what vanilla face is.

I'm sure it's a lot different from what I see on TV or in movies... @Clockworkmike watched a Horror movie about Slovakia and now he does not want to go there. movies have a big influence.

I COULD have thrown a fit lied.... screamed got a cell phone recorded the cop got in his face ...screamed names or taken a swing..... all things Ive seen other do on videos ..... all things that got them beat the heck down or worse.... and in most all those cases it was the decisions of the "bad guy" that created that situation
Ive had neighbors and ex coworkers that were cops or still are -- generally good eggs, family men ... just doing a job (often times a very very hard job mentally that I personally could not do) --
one story my neighbor told me of HIS DAY AT WORK (when I was bitching about some work thing) -- involved his 3rd arrest of the same person ............for child abuse including sexual abuse.... THIRD ARREST 3rd time he was caught (2 convictions all ready) ....I mean....how many times WASNT HE CAUGHT!!!? .......
Sorry ..... I could not walk in that house and arrest that guy "peacefully" ...... I would have gone in that house alone and I would have come out alone, while ordering a toe tag n a body bag. And then id be one of those "bad cops" and have to quit or worse.......which is why when asked several times to join the boys in blue ive declined as I know it wouldnt end well.
me either --- funny how they tend to leave you alone if your not doing something incredibly stupid.....Ive done some slightly stupid things that involved conversations with officers ....... mostly resulting in pleasant endings -- some cost me a little $ .... but again I WAS DOING SOMETHING I KNEW I shouldnt. Apologized, admitted it and we all moved on like adults.

if you offered some cops some donuts, just do it all no big deal like, and be sure to bring coffee too. otherwise they may think you are trying to insult them. and i would leave the vanilla face stuff to borat.@heltershelton @Zzzzz

It angers me to know that the mainstream media has pushed this agenda for long enough and intensely enough that people actually fear visiting the states thinking that they may be shot by a cop or some thugs...
...and I should probably stfu here and now before I go into forbidden topics of discussion...I already had to delete half my comment...
I seriously get pissed when a guy like yourself expresses trepidation about visiting us. Because you have largely been fed a pack of lies full of anti-american sentiment....it's not your fault, but believe us when we tell you that you have nothing to fear and every one of us here would welcome you with open arms.
We are the actual real people of the states and we'll tell you like it is, not what some foreign-owned media company wants you to believe about us.

Ive been to the UK 3 times, Ireland once and France once: its no different there than it is here minus small details.
There's jerkoffs loaded up over there just as there are loaded up here. Government parties over there suck as bad as both of ours over here. Rich people rule there as they do here. Workers get poop on over there equally to the ones over here. Etc etc etc.
But there's good people over there as there is over here too and i was lucky enough to meet a lot of them. Very peaceful for the most part and just working class joes.
The one advantage i always gave those countries over ours is history: ours isnt really that old (245 years) but there's in millennia. Lots of events happened there that we can't comprehend over here.
