Psychedelic revival anyone?

Do you guys like trippy psychedelic music?

I do, and it doesn't necessarily have to be heavy, or even rock, so to speak. I like it when bands overdo a little with some wet reverb, phasers and leslie speaker emulators.

Tame Impala is an obvious reference, and I like their stuff, though I didn't quite dig the last album.

There's also these folks from the city where my own band is based:

I think I've mentioned these guys here before, they're from California but one of the members is Brazilian, IIRC

Yes, very much. I love a healthy overdose of effects. Particularly vibrato and tremolo, along with reverb of course. When I use to host a bi weekly jam session at my house this is very much how they turned out. Way too much reverb, in the best way possible, and whatever else came up from the plentitude of pedals we had on hand.

I find this style fascinating. I’d love to start writing songs like these but got no idea where/how to start. I write songs but only classic style old time rock n roll
