The 2 weekends ago our way home from OK. from Indianapolis the whole way to my door in that mess. The mountains ain't no joke after the freeze at night. Had go to hotel from 12 to 5 am. Then into PA from WV was insane on 76. I dont mind it..but man there was so many wrecks..its the other guy ya gotta watch

Ramo, I was seeing temps for some places in Minnesota for today registering in at -40F and I checked the conversion to C. WOW, it is also -40 C
If I was at the cabin I would drive the 20 miles down to Lake Superior to warm up. In July we do that to cool off. The size of the lake keeps most of the water close to 46 F year round which drastically affects the temperature within 5 miles of the shore.

Same here. I’m less than a mile from the North Atlantic. Even though it snowed today, the ocean water was 40 degrees, and we got very little. Another mile inland, it was different. Sometimes, especially when the winds and snow come from the northwest or west, we get clobbered. Like six years ago when we got over eight feet of snow in February alone.
