PRS V12 finish clouding

The only marks on it are dusk specks, which are visible against this sheen!

I just gave it a new setup. Just like a clean car runs better, I think this sounds better than ever before!
Did PRS ever give you a more technical explanation on why these batch of finishes did what they did?

I remember when it first happened. Their first run of their proprietary V12 finish did not work out well. Some clouded, some simply flaked off. I have 2 that are just fine. This one got worse and worse, so I decided to call in their warranty offer. However, the offer was only open to first time buyers that registered their instrument, so a lot of used buyers got stuck with a very defective finish. I thought it should have been open to all owners since it was a design defect. A description of the V12 finish is below

When you think of PRS Guitars’ new “V12” finish, think very thin and hard, non-weather cracking, crystal clear, thinner-impervious, and a great feel. “PRS models with this new finish feel and sound like old instruments,” said Paul Reed Smith. The finish spent about 12 years in development, and is halfway between nitrocellulose and acrylic with a classic feel all its own – some say “a pleasure to touch.”
