So, after about 1.5 years messing with the drums I was still dropping my sticks a lot. I decided I'd try either gloves or maybe sticks with tape or something. I thought it was my hands simply letting go of them. But, I got some Promark Rebound Balance Active Grip sticks and now I don't drop them much at all. I don't really want to use a crutch, for lack of better words, like the covered sticks, but it was getting frustrating constantly dropping the sticks. I set there and talk to my hands and tell 'em they can't be letting go of the stick, but that didn't help. Hopefully over time I can go back to my favorite sticks - the plain ole Vic Firth American classic sticks.
