He does. I saw him with Mark Knopfler some while back - that was a hell of a combination.
 
I stumbled across Sonny by accident.
I went to see Johnny A at the Iridium.
He was opening for "some guy who played slide".
Johnny A was excellent (as always) and we decided to check out the
slide player even though we knew he would disappoint after Johnny A.
We were wrong about that.
Seriously wrong.

The icing on that particular cake was
Johnny A coming back out for the encores.
The 2 of them together was...I have no words for it.

I spent the next 2 days in my cellar with guitars and amplifiers,
stopping only to eat, sleep and take care of biological needs.
The 2 of them just made me want to play forever.
