When we lived in western Illinois we’d go to the Quad City Pops concert held on the Davenport Ia River front. Always the Saturday after Labor Day weekend. They always end with the 1812 Overture and Stars and Stripes. The QC national Guard is there with their howitzers. Amazing and emotional both doesn’t begin to describe the atmosphere there.
