Wow I know how that feels!! I was drilling a piece of metal in one of these things, when the drill grabbed and stopped ,sending this hunk of steel off my bench and hit my two end toes. I danced around my shop for about 10 minutes, I went upstairs to where my Wife was in the kitchen. I sat down on the chair, she said whats wrong you look pale.

I explained what happened she said lets see both toes were black, blue and dark cherry looking and swolen over double their size. She said wow!! I think you have 2 broken toes. She said i will drive you to the hospital, Well she was right, The Doctor told me yes both broken, he sent the Nurse in and she taped the both of them together.

Said there's nothing else we can do, time will heal them up..1665861904670.png

In the very early 90’s.. we were joisting a Food 4 Less mezzanine, for refrigeratoin equipment.. the joists were 4x12’s about 20’ in length.. we had it across 2 other joists, I had to walk out to the far side of the mezzanine and grab it to set it in position, my co-worker grabbed his end and pivoted it before I was in position, and it fell on top of my foot and broke three toes.. so I learned that the docs don’t do anything for broken toes .

Nope. Nothing for broken toes but tape. Been lucky. Stubbed toes before, just never that bad….. still hurts like crazy.

Best one I’ve done was working in the garage one day. Raised up and caught the corner of the cabinet. You know the cartoons where that happens to the character and he sees stars? That’s a real thing. Basically put me on the floor for a bit. May have had tears. Guys at work saw the knot on top of my head and said…. Bet that made you swear. Honestly…. It probably should have, but my only thoughts was “that was smart” and “that’s gonna leave a mark.”
