Different strokes for different folks. That's why there are so many flavors and colors.
I'm a big fan of textures, myself. You need many colors for a painting.

This is what I need to do too. I think I got a couple of amps that have not been fired up in a year...I need to cycle though playing my other tubeys; the Champ is up today, maybe the Deluxe as well.

Hah, this was the first guitar amp I bought in the late 70s when I only had 2 Takamine acoustics. It’s made by Acoustic. Bought a Les Paul and then a Marshall later on. I’m guessing the last time that amp was powered up Reagan was still presidentThis is what I need to do too. I think I got a couple of amps that have not been fired up in a year...![]()

What's the longest you think any of those amps have been sitting?Heck I have amps in the back room I have not powered up in twenty years
The bottom shelf is packed we won't show the rest of the room can't walk into it.

Are you using the Tube Screamer on the clean channel? I haven't tried boosting yet. That would add some variety.Got to put the DSL-1 through its paces today, with a small pedalboard in the loop (boost, chorus, delay) and a wah and Tube Screamer out front. It works exactly as hoped and sounds much bigger than expected in my room. I think I actually prefer it at the low power setting. Very happy with the purchase and consider it an excellent bargain for the price.
