Post your Recording that are the Perfect Recordings to test Headphones or Speakers with.

Man, All this music just jostled a synapse and threw up a band name into my brain from way back in the 80's.

Anyone ever listen to Marillion?

I swear Robert is like a perfect Lemmy doppelganger in vocals.

I was listening to some of my favorites on Spotify while making morning coffee the other day and in the rotation they added some Motorhead doing covers. This song came in about the 2nd or 3rd one and it made me think of a song Robert and the band could do that is not Beatles etc.

Yup Robert, that's why I knew you had the Lemmy down pat.

Motorhead also do a version of this song, but to date I don't think anyone ever did it better than Blue Cheer did it. I should add them in to some of my formative years memories of foundational songs for my R n R fandom. HAHA at Dick Clark saying you can see by their wall of sound behind them...

I think this one is great (full stop) for testing speakers for stereo field and bass response.
As the piece progresses the bass gets heavier and more defined until peaking after the 'crash back down to Earth' @ 6:43.
Propellerheads only made one album, but anyone who can improve on my favourite 'Bond' theme, and soundtrack the lobby shootout scene from 'The Matrix' (Spybreak!), AND get Shirley Bassey to star on a new track (History Repeating), all on one album is OK in my book.

I see flatrock knows a little about quality music from some of our Local heros from the late 70's and early 80's in my neck of the woods. Pa, Md, Dc area. A++++++++++++++++ post, buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get to know the players originating in Wierton Wva Rick Witkowski on Giutar
John Polumbo, Guitar and Vocals,

Still rocking today,

Thanks Chili,
After 2 straight nights of hearing bagpipe and drum music emanating from out front and inside North Turn next door, I needed a little break. Crack The Sky was my first choice! It fits the profile the OP was asking about.

"Long Nights" sometimes makes me cry. Every time I hear it, I think about the 15 years my WWII shell shocked dad mourned the loss of my mom.
