Possible New (OLD) guitar day...

So I messaged the vendor today.

After 2 days of not hearing, I figured I'd find out what was happening.

Turns out, he has told the first guy that responded to the ad that he can have it, pending payment...

Now I get the old "a man's word is his bond" and all that, but to me, if you're selling something to someone you don't know, who can't pay for it at the time, wouldn't you give the opportunity to the first person with cash???

All that has happened is that he's unknowingly strung me and others along for a few days, because he "promised" it to the first guy, who like I said, can't pay for it yet!

Surely if you haven't got the cash, you miss out - or am I missing something here???

SMH...

On another note, I've been jonesing for a Tele... And Pitbull Guitars, here in my home town of Perth, Western Australia, do a Tele kit for under $200.

I'm seriously considering biting the bullet, and heading on over and buying one!

That would scratch my itch for modding or rebuilding, and give me a "new" guitar at the same time.

I'm thinking something like the Mike Bloomfield tele, but prior to the upper bout being destroyed by some idiot who tried to convert it to left hand...

And if the undecided vendor calls just string him along, as he kindly did to you!
