Positive / Negative / Negative / Negative

Just curious, was there any particular reason you needed to have 2 neg test results?
You're feeling well otherwise?
2 negative tests within 10 days of each other is the accepted standard way to be cleared.
I have to visit doctors and dentist / I need to have some documentation to show.
The first thing a doctors office asks is "did you test positive for covid?" When I go to the doctor I'm required to disclose.

Interesting. We have something a little different here, either you have a vaccine passport or you have to show a negative test result that was within the last 48 or 72 hours, but they aren't asking for 2 of them. I've been to see lots and lots of doctors recently, there's been a screening station at the doors where you can present either the vax card or the negative test result, and answer a few questions about your current health, whether or not you have a fever, cough, etc...then they let you in and you go to your appointment. Provided that you aren't sick/symptomatic, of course.

OK started my 3rd round of tests, I consider this the end unless somebody calls me positive again...
then have to do it over.
This has been a lovely experience, not.

So. My wife’s last day teaching was June 2. June 3 she was officially retired. June 6 we took off for a few days in WI. Came home Friday night. Saturday AM she woke up not feeling well. Blamed allergies that she’s suffered with for most of her life. By afternoon she had a fever. Took one of those home tests. Positive. Took her to the local immediate health care place. Doctor tested. Also positive. Add in, she feels like crap. So till end of the week she quarantining on our 2nd floor….. where all my guitars are.

And zero idea where or who infected her.

The unexplainable. Over the last week we’ve spent hours together in the car. Small hotel room. Sipping wine samples out of the same cup. There is zero chance I wasn’t exposed to the virus. As of right now. I have no symptoms. I feel as fine as a 67 year old male can feel. If In the next couple days I don’t start showing symptoms or feeling sick….. my only guess is that getting the 2nd booster on May 31 is working.

Thanks for reminding me to schedule a 2nd booster shot.
I pretty much feel like the vaccination is working, since I have probably been exposed repeatedly and still test negative...

I'm happy to be vaccinated / glad I did it.

As time has moved on. Both science and data have supported getting the vaccine and the boosters. Doesn’t mean you won’t still get this thing. Doesn’t mean I’m out of the woods yet for getting it from my wife. But in the overwhelming majority of vaccinated and boosted folk that do get this virus, mostly the effects have been less and need for a hospital visit even less than that. IMHO….. for whatever that’s worth…. It’s worth getting the shot(s).

Wishing you both well and soon!

Thanks. She’s feeling lots better today. Not as congested. Even sat outside for about an hour. Of course it is mid 90s and humid here today, so that was about it. Someone said sometime back, most of us are going to end up infected. I’m starting to believe that.

I know I can still catch covid.
The question is how serious will it be?
I did get the 4th shot.
