How i can take a music recording off my smartphone, put into my computer, then send onto the forum?

email the file to an email address you can access on your PC.
then you can post it to Soundcloud as I think you normally do.

Or, can you connect the phone to pc via USB and copy the file from the phone to PC?

You should be able to email the file from your phone to your computer. I do that all the time with photos. An audio file should work the same.

Use Soundcloud , or Rumble, or one of the others I have seen in the Riffmasters posts and post the link in a thread here.
Dang you’re fast.

You can Google how to move files from your phone to computer via USB. Methods may vary depending on brand of phone. I don’t think it’s too tough to do.

I just don't want to mess with Wi-FI, I have it shut off on my PC. So once I get the file into my PC, how do i transfer to TTR?

5, it's simple. Plug the USB cable into your phone and the other end into your computer. Log into your phone (put your phone code in the phone).

Now you will see the phone as a "drive" sort of doohicky in your file explorer view. Traverse through that until you get to the pics. There you just drag and drop out the ones you want (to, say, the desktop, or somewhere). Now they are on you computer.

The are probably in a DCIM folder /Camera /Pictures or something.

Someone else will have to help you on that one. The only song I’ve moved to TTR fought me and was just about ready to give up.

Open the image file with Windows Paint so you can make it smaller ....or it will be too big to upload here.

When you create a post here just click the attach files and seek to the image you want to upload.

For me. Getting it to my laptop was easy peasy. It was uploading to TTR where I had issues. First time, so. The issues were on me. I think I have a clue now…. But it was sure frustrating in the moment.

I think Norm is trying to upload audio to TTR rather than images.

And for images I do one of two things. Paint. Or I email myself the image from my phone. My phone asks me what resolution I want to use. I always choose small or medium. Then I use the emailed image to post here.

Wait, that was for images. Audio should be in another folder on your phone.

Do the same to get the file on your computer. Then as a quick method go to Vacaroo.com, where you can quickly upload the file.

After it's uploaded you can see where you can copy the link to it. Copy that then simply paste the text link into your post here.

The TTR forum server does not host audio files.
Which was part of my struggle. Turns out I have a You Tube acct, so I figured that would be easy. Download to YT and paste the link here. Wouldn’t let me. Tried some other things that also didn’t work. One of you suggested Drop Box. It a took a moment. But I figured out how to make that work and finally got a link uploaded to TTR.

My only audio/video upload to date. Sound stunk. But I got it done.

I was thinking he wanted images for some reason. My bad. :steping:

I told him vocaroo.com because it's the simplest and quickest since you don't need an account.
