Pine Body Tele's

I already got 2 Teles that I acquired from Sp8ctre. I'm good on Teles for now. :p

In '09, I got invited to the Winter NAMM show. I don't remember who the luthier was, but he insisted that I pick up one his pine body Teles. My immediate expression was a boisterous: "OH MY!!!!!!". It weighed like 5 lbs... not even close to 6 lbs. Then I strummed a couple open chords. Amazing acoustic ring and resonance.

But I have a thing for Brazilian rosewood finger boards his Esquire is the hands down winner sounds like a Burst

That's pine. My golden Synthesizer made of spruce has it as well. And that is glulam wood with some knots in it.

BTW: there are actually *some* luthiers who make Tele bodies from pine, and intendedly pine with many knots. To me that somehow fits well to the rough shape of the Tele body.

If and when Ivan sees this, he will say I threw Petrol on his already burnin GAS for a Tele
Haha, yes, you've got my tele GAS well & truly alight now Chilli, raging. Some really nice examples above. I'll have a look for one over the weekend/during the week. I would have answered early but the amount of video content kept freezing my phone up, had to drag the old laptop out. Cheers

I love my Warmoth tele but with it's alder body and maple cap it is heavy. When my back is acting up it is not the guitar I reach for. I'd love to try a pine tele.
