Last time I buy used pickups. I have been lucky until now.

However I put in a double thick Ceramic like a Dimarzio Super dist. So it is a Mr. Potato Head Custom.

The Hamer is like a double cut LP: 24 3/4 scale mahogany neck and body with a maple cap.

Looks like I spitted out some fake news! The pickup that I thought was the SH11 Custom Custom, is actually the SH16 '59/Custom Hybrid (A5 mag)!

So that pickup is in the pile. I just got in the mail a generic Alnico 2 from GFS and 2 blank pickguards.

Are you still digging the JB in the Firefly V?

I just got a used JB to try in the Firefly Explorer, never had a JB before.
I've had a, ............. well never mind.

had a JB before..........................reminds me of AC/DC - Squealer.

I do like it quite well depending on what you play it through. I favor modelers for unlimited silent recording and tons of variety.
If you are asking how it sounds through a Marshall tube amp , fail because I don't know.
How it sounds in the Peavey model I have is awesome to me.

Ef me , I would like to say I got it but just sort of. I was for the points , one slug and one screw. I made so many diagrams , fitting with strings and angle.
Hours !!! Now it is a sacrifice. Not even wired yet.

Not all bad though. I do have a Trembucker and the spacing works.
Not the pickup I want to use but I might have to.

The Trembucker doesn't line up either but it does have the same spacing.

Thank you sir. I spent a fair amount of time researching the intall angle , making drawings , Mach up layouts and actually fitting it in the pickguard. Best I could do. Lol

Then I saw an Epi Nighthawk…then I searched for replacement pickups for one…which brought me to the Seymour Duncan site…

Yes, they are perfect. Besides the JB nighthawk they used to make a 59 lower output, not sure if they still do.
Cheap guitar so I will just make due.
