Took this pic of my (all grown up) baby hummybird at the feeder Thursday afternoon.
She will come up and land in my hand when I chirp at her the way I did while feeding.

Well that’s cool ! We love our hummingbird “pets” too. This is right outside our kitchen window. We bring all the bird feeders in at night given our recent late night bear visits. So some mornings if we’re sleeping in late or just lying in bed web surfing, every now and then a couple of the hummingbirds will fly up to the master bedroom window and hover outside looking in. Like saying “get your ass out of bed and put out the damn feeders !”.

We put out 2 hummingbird feeders, both seat 7, and 2 regular bird seed feeders (with different kinds of seeds). There are some days around dinner time when all 14 seats are occupied and many hovering waiting a turn. If we’re out on the deck, it sounds like swarms of bees. But fun to watch.
