We’re a little worried the baby may have been gotten by a timber critter. Coyote or whatever. Hope not.
 
All taken in my modest yard in a 1950s Levittown style neighborhood in the outer Philly 'burbs.

Sized for my rotating desktop images, click for 1920 x 1080.

I had no idea tree frogs were in my region. There is a small wooded ravine just to the north of me that can be marshy depending on rainfall. Had to have come from there. Just a little critter an inch or less long.

In August 2014 blue wing wasps made the SE portion off the yard into a singles bar / cheap motel. What caught my eye was their unusual markings, color and what I assume were their mating ritual flight patterns. Many flying about, then a pair will drop into the grass for wasp sex I reckon. They were quite hard to photograph moving about as they were. They came back the following year and have not seen them since.

I caught one having a snack on a nearby flower. I'd guess those yellow spots glow like headlights with their ultra violet vision.
