We had "Key Deer" that where a small localized herd on tiny Big Pine Key in the Fl. Keys-----they would walk right in the house------ I have used power tools In a 12 x 10 shed --- and they walked in while I am using a circular saw--- looking for treats------knocked over trash cans--- like giant raccoons

I was just checking to see if I had another batch of blueberries ripe, and ready to pick, when I stumbled in to this tiny little thing...just chillin in a high bush blueberry.

Hahahahahahaha!!! In my own backyard no less!!!
The bushes are probably older than I am. I’ve been, kind of, trying to show them some kindness for the last few years by keeping their competitors clear, and giving them the space they deserve. They have repaid me by actually producing a modest crop this year...a truly stellar one in comparison to the years past. I’m learning as I go. I will certainly celebrate with a breakfast of blueberry pancakes, and at some point, some blueberry cornbread.

My photo is at the beach, while we were working on the Shutters Hotel.
We were not allowed to start before 10:00 am so had to work till 6:30 pm!
I hated that place.
And that’s in Santa Monica.
Just down the street from the Santa Monica civic auditorium!
